New Community Building – Doune
We are pleased to announce that we will be commencing construction of a new community building soon here in Doune for the local Doune & Deanston Youth Project. Located within the villages Moray Park, it has been some time in getting to this stage, with initial concepts first being considered as far back as 2018 !
From that point, we completed Pre-Planning application; a Detailed Planning Application, and finally a Building Warrant. Mixed in there of course was the pandemic and the significant effects it had on timings and funding of charity based organisations.
The new building will dramatically transform the accomodation the group has used since its inception, with a dramatic design and thermally effecient specification including triple glazed windows; high insulation; air source heat pump with underfloor heating, and a mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system.
The existing unit is due to be removed off site this January, and work should start soon thereafter.
